Appium - Android

In this chapter, we will work with a test automation framework that combines cucumber, ruby, appium together and help us write automation test cases.

We will follow ATDD (acceptance test driven development) methodology and hence write features and scenarios and subsequently write code-behind.

Appium

On the client side, we will use appium_lib client library and use the api's exposed. It is also possible to use Selenium webdriver and create Desired Capabilities that specify appium as webdriver. Having background of webdriver protocol greatly helps understanding appium client library.
